Marketing and web design for fire and security companies
Zatheo builds websites and runs SEO, Google Ads and lead handling for fire alarm, fire protection, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm companies. We are a small team based in Ashford, working with installers across Kent and the UK. The aim is simple: more of the right enquiries, and more of the maintenance and service contracts that keep your engineers busy all year.
Why fire and security firms are hard to market
Most fire and security companies win a large share of their work through referrals, repeat customers and contracts that renew. That works well until a facilities manager, landlord or homeowner who has never heard of you searches online. If your website is thin, out of date or hard to use on a phone, they move on to a competitor whose pages answer their questions faster.
Your buyers are also not all the same. A responsible person for a care home, school or warehouse wants to know you cover their system type, that your work meets the right standards and how quickly you respond to a fault. A homeowner looking at CCTV or an alarm wants a tidy install, a local team and someone who will pick up the phone. One generic “services” page rarely does a good job for either.
What we do for fire and security companies
Websites built around your services
We plan the site around the work you want more of. That usually means one clear page for each service you offer, such as fire alarm installation, fire alarm maintenance, emergency lighting, extinguishers, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms or monitoring. Each page explains what you do, who it is for, the areas you cover and what happens after someone enquires.
We also build a page for maintenance and service contracts, because that recurring work is often worth more than a single install. Where you have real experience in a sector, such as schools, care homes, offices or landlords, we can add sector pages that speak to those buyers directly. Read more about our websites and rebuilds.
SEO and local search
Most buyers search for a service plus a town, or look at the map results. We make sure your site and your Google Business Profile tell Google exactly what you do and where. That covers technical fixes, page titles and headings, structured data, local listings and reviews. See our SEO services and local SEO for the detail.
Google Ads for urgent and high-value work
Some work cannot wait for organic growth. A business with a faulty alarm panel or a failed camera system wants help now. We set up and manage search campaigns aimed at those urgent and high-value searches, and we exclude the searches that waste budget, such as job hunters, DIY questions and people shopping for cheap cameras. Read more about Google Ads and Meta ads.
Lead handling so enquiries do not go cold
Your engineers are on site and your office is busy. An enquiry that waits until the end of the day can easily go to whoever replied first. We connect your forms, phone and calendar to one CRM, send instant replies and missed-call texts, and follow up on quotes that have gone quiet. See automation and lead handling.
Conversion fixes on your current site
If your site already gets visitors but few enquiries, a rebuild may not be the first step. We look at where people drop out, then fix the biggest problems first: clearer headings, shorter forms, better calls to action and reassurance in the right place. See conversion rate optimisation.
Showing accreditations properly
Buyers, insurers and specifiers often ask whether an installer holds third-party certification. If you are certificated through a scheme such as NSI, SSAIB or BAFE, your website should say which scheme, what it covers and where it can be checked, ideally with a link to the certificate or the public register. Keep logos to the schemes and categories you actually hold, and keep them up to date.
We do not hold any of these certifications ourselves, and we will never add a badge to your site that you are not entitled to use. What we do is make sure the ones you have earned are easy to find, easy to verify and placed near the point where people decide to get in touch.
Our work: Synergy Fire and Security
Synergy Fire and Security came to us as a well-established local company with a strong reputation for protecting businesses and homes, but with almost no presence online. People searching for fire and security services could not find them.
We took Synergy online for the first time. The work covered website design and structured content, SEO so the business shows up when people search for fire protection and security services in its area, and a site built around clear calls to action, simple navigation and lead capture forms. You can read the full Synergy case study.
How a project runs
- Initial call. We talk through the work you want more of, the areas you cover and what is not working now.
- Review. We look at your current site, how you show up in search and the competitors buyers see instead of you.
- Plan. We agree the pages, the priorities and how enquiries will be handled.
- Build or fix. We build the new site, or fix the pages that matter most on your current one.
- Measure. We track calls, forms and quote requests in GA4, and report in plain English on what came in and what we will do next.
Working across Kent and the UK
We are based in Ashford and work with businesses throughout the county, including Ashford, Maidstone, Canterbury and Folkestone and Hythe. Many fire and security companies cover a whole region, so we also work with installers elsewhere in the UK.
